The essential function of the position within the organization is to interpret legal proceedings for non-English speaking or hearing impaired persons to ensure due process. The position is responsible for interpreting the spoken or written word from a source language to a target language, 将法庭证据翻译成目标语言, testifying as an expert witness regarding accuracy of translated documents or tapes, 收集统计数据. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in either English, 西班牙语, or any subject closely 相关的 to the field of law is preferred.

Two years of court/legal 相关的 experience may substitute for the recommended educational level or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
